Justine is not only organising the project, but she will also be driving the support vehicle behind Max on the entire journey.
Max has actually got the easy bit! Justine, who has been with the project from the very beginning, is the heartbeat behind it. As well as having huge empathy with Max’s situation, she has immense common sense, energy, and organisational skills.
Filipe is Max’s Personal Assistant. During the journey, he will be cycling in front of Max, pointing out the potholes in the road and keeping Max well away from ditches. Filipe is also a bit of a ‘Mr. Fixit’. His ability to find solutions when none appear obvious may prove invaluable on this trip.
Gina has been kindly seconded to the team by BT, with a view to maximizing the public profile of the campaign. As such, Gina is responsible for all contact with the media and liaising with the team whilst they‘re on the road. In the last two weeks of the journey, Gina will be sharing the load with Ian Hurchinson.
Ian has also been very generously seconded to the team by BT. He will work with Gina on all matters relating to the media, as well as contact with the team.
Alex and Max have known each other for over 30 years. Max has always wanted to find a good reason to ask Alex to use his considerable film-making skills. This campaign was the perfect reason.
Alex runs Axworks (www.axworksfilms.com), a London-based team of broadcast film-makers with a background in international documentary programming and educational broadcasting.
Alex has created the promotional video for this site, and will be making the documentary and educational films.
